BlackBerry Storm 2 due next month?
Perhaps it should come as no surprise, given the pervasiveness of recent leaks, but word has it that the clickscreen-free BlackBerry Storm 2 could be hitting shelves as early as June, and no later than July. Word comes from Mr. BlackBerryOS.com himself, who got word from an "insider" who has proved reliable in the past. She says the internal deadline for training tech support is end of month, and while such an early followup seems like a bit of a raw deal for original Storm buyers, it doesn't come as too much of a shock. Is it just us, or is this kind of shaping up into a "phone heavy" summer? Maybe it's just the sunstroke.

let's hope this is true. if not, there's always the tour right?

I wish this thing would come to Sprint so I wouldn't have to sweat the unproven Pre :-)

If this is true, then I guess Verizon/Rim have basically admitted that the Storm 1 was a total piece of crap. I dont know when a replacement was rolled out so soon after the original. If us "early adopters" arent given a nice easy upgrade path, I am going to be pissed.

Agreed with rusty. Will be interesting to see how it's handled. I have a Storm running one of the leaked OS's (.132) and it runs wonderful compared to a friends with .75. Amazing that it's been over 5 months with no update.

Yeah I love my leaked OS. I have helped a couple of my friends change thier OS so they can enjoy their Storm experience.

NO worries early storm buyers you will all be covered. You have probably have had your original storm replaced so many times that by now you might be able to make a arguable argument that you deserve a different phone(good luck). Everybody and there mother is buying a storm and some just don't understand that replacing it will NOT solve all your issues. Its unfortunate techs have learned that throwing another phone at a customer is the perfect way to solve the problem the first two times and HOPEFULLY they wont work with you when they come back because really using the same "software update is coming soon" excuse only worked for the first five months..

So does anyone know for sure if the Storm 2 is also a Verizon exclusive? I thought I read somewhere that it might also be going to TMO.
