AT&T right behind Verizon with on-device account management app
You might recall that Verizon pushed out a handy-dandy account management app for its BlackBerry fleet not long ago, offering a store locator, balance checker, rudimentary feature control, and a handful of other basic tasks all without the pain, suffering, and heartache of dialing into a customer service call center. Now AT&T's followed suit, though not on its many, many BlackBerrys -- instead, it's going after the iPhone crowd with "myWireless Mobile," where users can check usage, modify account settings, and pay their bills. It's a handy (and more importantly, free) little app to have -- let's just see it launch on every other smartphone platform you support, eh, AT&T?

That fact that VZW it sucks but the AT&T version is so much better. No negative comments left on this post.

Yeah, what the hell? How can you guys forget the first network to release their own app!
Chris Ziegler @ May 5th 2009 9:31PM
Dude, I said they were right behind Verizon, because Verizon literally released theirs a couple weeks back! That's all I said!

FINALLY! Jesus, it pisses me off it took this long. The fact that they have never made the website iPhone or even Moblie Browser ready is a joke. I would like to be happy about this, but it is way beyond overdue, and honestly, this is a situation where a Web-App might make more sense, then all the Mobile browsers could take advantage and not just the iPhone.

Switch to an Android device lol ;)
Things come out faster on Android...

Jakob @ May 6th 2009 1:45AM

A Paracha @ May 6th 2009 1:46AM

jayjay @ May 6th 2009 2:07AM

m3nphls @ May 6th 2009 10:11AM
It'll be really fun do to all sort of account changes if someone just lose their phone and another person happens to pick it up right away hhahaha
PEZ @ May 6th 2009 12:41PM
An app for this has been in the android market for a bit now. Very useful, though, when you want to pay your bill, it just takes you to the micro mobile site through the browser - could be more svelte than that.
