Word is that a last-minute bug discovered in the hotly-anticipated
Nokia E71x's firmware involving email -- which, let's be honest, is one of the top two or three reasons to own a device with this form factor -- has pushed back the launch by several weeks while all the parties involved scramble to cook up a fix. That sucks, considering the E71 has been out in North American flavor
since last July and we've been hearing about the existence of AT&T's oh-so-special version
even longer than that, so a delay is just about the last thing
Symbian faithful around here were hoping to hear. The good news is that the delay might be accompanied by a price break, apparently, bringing the device down to $149.99 on contract after rebate at launch. This whole sitch is still in the rumor phase, but look, AT&T, we're going to hold you to it anyway -- The People want this for under two bills.

fffff, I blame at&t

and the people want this phone with all the capabilities of the unbranded E71.

the bug is probably stemming from at&t's crippling app's they put on everything but the iphone. Amazing how unlocked nokia devices work perfectly fine, but the att branded phones do not.

OH COME ON!
I was just on my way to the att store to pick this up today

As an owner of the current E71, I can't possibly see the advantage a branded version of this phone will have over the standard one...
Heck my data plan is half the price of the smartphones' (as I'm sure AT&T will label this, because it is)
Pay the $150 more, you'll make it back in 8 months and won't be in a contract. I swear, some people just don't care enough to be bothered with common sense...

Just stopped by an ATT store in DC...They said they are hoping to have the E71 in by "early April." Not holding my breath.
