Motorola's RAZR Lúk is gilded, worthy of open letter

Apparently Motorola hasn't deep-sixed the RAZR thing as we've just caught a glimpse of another version that's oh so golden, white, and headed for Korea. The new RAZR features 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, a QVGA display, Bluetooth, video calling, 18k gold plating, and a design aesthetic that hearkens back to 2004. Otherwise, specs are as thin as interest may be in this phone, but follow the read link if you're handy with Korean and just need to know more.

who cares how fast the data is on a phone like this?? who in their right mind would ever look at a web page on this screen...now if it was used as a mod3em then maybe. Way to go Motorola!!

And they are even bothering with this because?

So is Motorola's new business model to take their old phone designs, slap some expensive materials on, and then sell them to really rich yet stupid people who, despite being rich, are not rich enough for Vertu? Seems like that would have been a better route to go BEFORE the economic crash, but what do I know...

Moto, what a fall from glory you have made.
Signs of hope that you are developing in Android now, and the un-disgust-worthy shots we saw of the big touchscreen device, but then this, and the possible new "ROKR" brick. all I can do is shake my head.

time to say 'farewell, moto!'

Sadly, I see a market for this in Korea with Koreans' obsession of appearances. People here go out of their way to look as well off as possible.

This would (have been) a hit in Dubai...

Wow, a white and gold RAZR V3xx. Just get the v3xx on ebay, along with some crappy non-oem "fascia" and you will surely be ahead of the game.

Motorola, just GIVE UP !!!!!, no one in their right mind would buy a Motorola phone these
days anyway. Let alone that crappy piece of tat that's pictured above.
The V3 is how many years old?????!!!!!!!
Game over Motorola, Game over !!
