Umm...the feed doesn't seem to work in Google Reader...it pulls your normal Engadget Mobile Feed (Although it appears slightly dated...)
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 11:43AM
That's the way it should work. Notice that there's a media file attached with each item in the feed - this will be read by apps that know how to deal with podcasts.
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 11:47AM
Yes...but it's pulling normal stories as well as podcasts instead of just podcasts. The HD and Original feeds both only have podcast in their podcast feed...
Granted the mobile feed shows the podcast as the most recent post...but I don't think its working right.
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 11:51AM
Interesting, I'm not seeing the problem for some reason. Which feed, MP3 or AAC?
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 12:02PM
MP3 Feed in Google Reader...the feed is fine when you look at the XML file in a browser...but Google Reader isn't pulling it right.
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 12:13PM
Email me and I can send you a screenshot if that will help.
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 12:15PM
We see it, thanks for pointing it out - we're looking into it now!
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 12:20PM
w00t...glad I could help out...I'm excited to start listening to you guys.
Al @ Jan 21st 2009 12:11PM
finally, I can start listening.
000000 @ Jan 21st 2009 12:40PM
No offense but I never got the "podcast" concept. Why do I want to listen to someone jabber about what they already probably wrote...? People just like to hear themselves talk.
I'll stick to reading blogs thank you.
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 12:46PM
More power to ya, my friend!
bustafone @ Jan 21st 2009 12:59PM
Where is the frigging iTunes feed?
Richard Glitter @ Jan 21st 2009 3:35PM
Awesome. Thanks guys! Great podcasts, keep them coming. I just added the shiny new mp3 feed into my BeyondPod application on my HTC Fuze. Worked perfectly.
azali2 @ Jan 21st 2009 4:32PM
The tangents are fine. You guys do a great job. thanks for doing the podcast. and yes... Nokia SHOULD come out with another Matrix (1) phone.
venomshot629 @ Jan 21st 2009 6:47PM
The Zune link isnt working. :-\
venomshot629 @ Jan 21st 2009 7:06PM
I figured out the problem; instead of this:
http://zune//subscribe/?EngadgetMobile=http://podcasts.engadgetmobile.com/rss.xml
it should be this:
zune://subscribe/?EngadgetMobile=http://podcasts.engadgetmobile.com/rss.xml
You're welcome :)
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 7:07PM
Awesome... updating now.
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 7:38PM
Have you fixed the google reader issue?
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 7:40PM
As far as we can tell, it's caching problem where Google is picking up a residual feed from before we fixed it this morning. We're going to have to wait it out for a day or two to see if it "fixes itself" unfortunately...
Kai @ Jan 21st 2009 7:45PM
that's lame...can you guys post to the normal feed when it should be fixed?
Chris Ziegler @ Jan 21st 2009 7:53PM
I would recommend keeping the podcast feed in Google Reader at least through to the next podcast (which should go live next Tuesday), and see if it works itself out. I'm crossing my fingers.
dansus @ Jan 24th 2009 11:18PM
Hang on, this the same feed as ive used up until now, which has been a while.
Whats new?
