Sprint and Sierra Wireless give you the 598U data card

Data cards, while not as completely thrilling as new handsets -- or as pretty -- are quickly becoming true workhorses for the mobile-connected masses. Sierra's 598U on Sprint's is no exception -- or slouch -- with EV-DO connectivity, an SD Slot to add up to 32GB of storage, GPS, and even the ability to install the drivers for both Windows and Macintosh without having to carry a CD. Top shelf bit of kit and the pricing is as good starting at $free on a 2-year deal after "instant savings" of -$199.99 and a "web special" -$50 discount.

This is an awesome deal. The fastest and largest 3G network by a long shot, and no cost up front. I canceled my DSL at home and now only use my aircard.

This guy looks like a shill for Sprint. Look at his post history:

Agreed.
Now look, buddy, don't get me wrong. I'm a happy Sprint guy myself. But blatant fanboyism is dangerous in the precarious times of Belkingate. Wanna temper yourself a bit? Last thing I want is some freak getting litigious on my provider so I can watch my rates soar.

vote him down, what a joke. at least pick a different name than "Sprint."

Not to completely bash here, I have Sprint and it sounds great being able to cancel your DSL, but how about that 5GB cap?
W00ter @ Jan 21st 2009 12:14AM
While I did vote him down for the shilling, I do havhe to agree that Sprint's 3G network, atleast here in Los Angeles, is far and away superior to AT&T's 3G network. I had a Sprint Mogul and just switched to an iPhone 3G on AT&T. The Mogul was a crappy phone, but Sprint's network is WAY better here in LA. Faster 3G and less dropped calls.

That's my very favorite number of dollars. In for one?

I got one. I am moving soon and this will most likely be my main internet connection. First time i used a phone company other than t-mobile in over 6 years but t-mobile doesn't have good coverage in western Illinois. Sprint does. This will make my amtrak ride much nicer!
