HTC Iolite gets pictured, actually pretty blah
If you took a Touch Diamond and put it one of those tumblers you had when you were a kid that you use to polish cool-looking rocks you found in your backyard, you'd probably get something like this. The Iolite -- not "Lolite" as we'd previously thought -- appears to rip the Touch Diamond's basic form factor from this tiny lil' image that's been leaked on Expansys, but steps down to a WQVGA display from VGA. On the upside, Europeans still get their 7.2Mbps HSDPA fix, TouchFLO 3D and AGPS make it through unscathed, and the 3.2-megapixel cam carries over. No official announcement on this one, but seeing how the radio is Euro-focused, we'd expect it at MWC next month.[Via Cellpassion]

Well jeez, people.
It's called the LO-lite.
How great could it be?!

its *i*olite not *L*olite (a blue gem)
appart fram that thats old news. This device is exklusive to Telefónica o2 in europe under the name of “Xda Guide” (see the-unwired). The MSM7225 ist the locost brother of the 7201A, does not have a GPU and therfore will not sport VGA. The Guide does not have TouchFLO3D diamond style but the new “Manila2D” like the Jade (its close couisin) which is quite fast and sexy

That's not WQVGA. That screen is 4:3. Probably QVGA.

This form factor came way before the HTC Diamond, soo actually Engadget, you have your facts mixed up. So the Diamond is a touch up version of the Iolite.
The HTC Touch Cruise or Polaris had a second variant released in Febuary 2008 called the Orbit 2 (on O2's network) or the HTC Touch Find which sports the same casing. See http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1307
