I have to ask, why? Is it because Sprint dropped way too much cash in Advertising for this phone, so now they feel like they need to support this would be Iphone clone? I suppose, it's nice to really only have one Iphone clone as part of your phone selection as opposed to VZW or hell, even AT&T which have several.

I've never like the Instinct. I'm not an Iphone lover, but I get the appeal over this crappy attempt by Sprint and Samsung to do battle with Apple. I personally use an HTC Touch Pro and love it (and no, it's not an Iphone clone, it's just the next logical upgrade from the Mogul and the 6700).

Graham

Comments on Sprint's Samsung Instinct offers corporate calendar access, likely mocked by BlackBerry-toting coworkers

Awww shucks!

Right when I take that phone off my account and bought a BlackBerry (which Im WAY more happy with). What a shit show....

how about all the ical and gcal users out there? i am to believe that there were more exchange and lotus users (who typically own blackberries) using an instinct for their day-to-day business than other (non-exchange/lotus) calendar users? This can't be, anyone who bought the instinct for actual business use returned it right away, while the rest of us regular folk who stayed patiently waiting with a promise of a better calendar are still SOL.

don't get me wrong though, this phone works great as a phone, camera, timer, alarm, web browser (no thanks to sprint, thanks to opera mini), and news / sport score / weather reader. mp3 player and sprint tv is still so bad its unusable. video player is good enough. overall i'm happy.

Serge

Comments on Sprint's Samsung Instinct offers corporate calendar access, likely mocked by BlackBerry-toting coworkers

I was very happy to wake up this morning to this update - overall I'm pretty happy with this phone (picked it up over the weekend). The web browser blows, though Opera Mini has really alleviated that pain. The mp3 player is very nice in that it works (which is pretty much all I need), the navigation software is pretty awesome, and getting news and weather as a top level function is pretty spiffy. Haven't tried sprint radio or tv yet.

All in all, I'm fairly impressed with how well this phone hangs together, particularly as a long time Windows Mobile user. Everything *works* - quickly and without weird dialogs, strange pauses and random crashes.

After a few days of using this phone, I already simply cannot contemplate going back to a Windows Mobile phone.

John

Comments on Sprint's Samsung Instinct offers corporate calendar access, likely mocked by BlackBerry-toting coworkers

Blackberry beware...NOT

Christopher

Comments on Sprint's Samsung Instinct offers corporate calendar access, likely mocked by BlackBerry-toting coworkers

Lotus?
