it really bugs me how the screen is indented in a weird place that isn't centered, and how the edges are different....
You are definitely not the only one. There is no way I could own a phone like this. I am a bit OCD about stuff like this, so that screen would drive me insane.
that's probably because it's intended to be used more as a horizontally-oriented media device with phone capability via Wi-Fi.Speaking of which...Mr. Melanson, this is not a cellular device. Please stop teasing the geeks.
