Telus BlackStorm Storm available for pre-order at Future Shop
We had always heard that Telus' BlackBerry Storm would be made available in time for the holiday season, but according to the estimated ship date on Future Shop's website, it'll be pushing it. The touchscreen handset can be pre-ordered right now by interested Canadians, though the $649.99 sticker may give you pause. Better not hold up your plans too long though -- wouldn't want that December 18th delivery date to slip.

I did the pre-order thing at Futureshop on Nov.27th. At that point it was listed as a Dec.18th estimated ship date. The very next day, it changed to December 31st. As of today, they are no longer accepting any orders for the phone, listed as SOLD OUT, and they have added a bold black line to the description stating that the release date is unknown. When I contacted the Futureshop Webstore, they said they got word on Nov.28th that Telus had added 2-3 weeks to the estimated release date due to software issues at RIM. It could now be as late as the first week of January before the retail stores see it.
