What would you get if you combined an
iPhone, a unibody Macbook, a strobe light out of a smoky, drugged-out disco, and a shelter from pesky copyright infringement? We guess you'd get something like this, the creatively-named "iPhone V126" that you'll find floating around the streets of Shenzen these days. The QVGA display shows off a reasonably faithful reproduction of the iPhone's UI (for a non-touch device, anyway), but the similarities end there considering that you're going all the way down to a useless VGA cam paired with an Apple logo on the front cover that emanates entrancing pulses of searing white light every time you get a call. We'll take two in gold, please.

There you go again Engadget, condoning and supporting piracy! This site is the piracy companies' best friend. You give them more free press than any ad agency ever could. And that, my friends, is both condoning piracy and supporting it. I'm sure you'll placate your consciences (if you have any) by saying, "But.....but.....but.....we only report what's out there.....". I bet that if you keep repeating that mantra to yourselves for long enough, you may actually convince yourselves that you have some integrity left. But you don't. You've gone from trusted writers and opinion-makers to shills and ratings whores. But hey, if you don't report it then somebody else will, right? ::rolleyes::

...huh?

Bah! what a big pile of cr*p... So, maybe Engadget shouldn't report on anything that doesn't have a trademark on it? and maybe they also shouldn't report anything bad at all, so you could live in your own little euphoria-land?
Piracy is there. DEAL WITH IT.
And besides, what about the value of this report, to the people that don't understand as much as you in cell phones, and could be misled thinking this phone is a real Apple product? shouldn't they be informed its a fake, just so they won't get "publicity"?

What douchebags, shanzhajiigifjkljflkdjsfdslkf are. This is why I truly hate the business practices in China. They do not respect trademarks, they lack originality and the copies they produce are a joke. I wish the US would grow a pair and pursue these thieves. If they at least produced a good product I'd respect their skill. I cannot even give them that. They suck in every facet of the game.

There's a reason China doesn't go after them and probably won't allow the US to go after them either. Recession + more job losses is a bad thing, especially in a country where people support the government because of the perception that it is making things "better". If things go downhill, if the people feel that they're "threatened", bad things happen.
