MMS-capabilities coming soon to a Swedish iPhone?
The oft-bemoaned lack of certain, um... capabilities of the the iPhone is forcing individual companies to take desperate measures, it seems. It's not entirely clear, but MacWorld says it's confirmed with Telia that the Swedish-Finnish carrier's developing an MMS-enabling app for the iPhone. MacWorld says the app will hit the market in the next two months, which is great news for everyone in Sweden. If you live anywhere else in the world, however, you'll just have to continue on, rueing the day you ever encountered Apple's MMS-spurning, copy and paste-hating handset.Update: Though the source is Swedish, it's entirely reasonable to believe that this'll spread across all of Telia's markets (and the world?). Thanks, commenters!
[Thanks, Martin]

MMS, Cut and Paste, Video Recording, Higher Res Camera, Multi Tasking, Stereo Bluetooth and Turn by Turn Nav are the reasons Apple never got my business. I know they are one of the most popular devices ever, but imagine where they'd be if they'd put those items in as well!!!
I've stuck it out with Verizon because of the above and can't wait to spend my hard earned money on the Storm on Friday!

google the word Iphone insurance and you will find plenty. If you have state farm as your home insurance then they will insure your iphone for $12/ year...yeah thats right $12/YEAR...besides why would you go with Asurian insurance with att if they offered insurance for your Iphone??? its to expensive on other smart phones

I thought that people weren't supposed to want all that stuff since His Jobness didn't supply it.

Why does no one ever mentions insurance for the iPhone. That was the final straw for me. If it was lost/stolen(dropped/cracked) I wasn't about to get another at full cost.

I ended up insuring my wife's iphone through our homeowners insurance, cost me $19/year (for the full price of the iphone, not the subsidized price), and if she drops it, it's stolen, she runs it through the wash, we only have to pay the $50 deductible. It was a much better deal than any of the cell phone companies offer.
