This is so ridiculous. Typically electronics are marked up about 10-20% when they are sold. For some ridiculous reason cell phones are marked up about 200-250%. Its getting insane. This phone prolly cost $200 to manufacture and they want $800!! Cmon now, thats a 400% profit margin.
Im sure some people will buy this phone at $800, but that is just flat out price gougin in my opinion.
I didn't realize that manufacturing costs were the only costs involved in selling a product. I guess Sony has volunteer workers who work for free, no advertising budget, free operations, and zero distribution costs. Thanks for your valuable insight satysfyn!
You must be one of those retards who doesn't realize that subsidized prices are different from unlocked, no contract pricing. I bet you think that buying a $30,000 car that leases for $150/mo is actually $29,850 cheaper than buying it in cash. $150 sounds about right for a car. It's just metal, glass, and plastic anyway.

i got news for you, EVERYTHING is marked up at LEAST 3x. be it tv's, phones, pencils, or underwear. that's how marketing works.
