Palm's Treo Pro gets its first update: Bluetooth improvements promised
Aw, isn't this cute? Palm's unlocked Treo Pro has just received its very first software update, and we're happy to bring along the obligatory balloons and party foods. As of today, users of the Treo Pro can download a Bluetooth Update which reportedly resolves an issue with multiple calls sometimes getting twisted and diverted to voicemail and / or an operator on Pluto. In other words, this update will eliminate those conversations you keep having with extraterrestrial beings, so it's probably worth installing. Got it? Good.[Via Palm InfoCenter]

Yo papa sMurph. why the undisguised Palm-hate? If you find Palm's phones worthy only of tongue-in-cheek derogatory commentary (despite their being the best non-Blackberry candybar QWERTY's out there), why not just ignore the news. The only folks who would care about the news would be Palm owners who would be offended by your tone. Others (like me) either don't care or are turned off by your 8-year old, nyah-nyah tone. Nobody wins. Got it? Good.
PS - Sure I could take my own advice and ignore the post, but I thought perhaps you needed a little visit from Gargamel...

Such thin-skinned pansies needn't play where adults dare to tread, clown. Back to your Rosey-Palm circus from whence you came!

As a rule, this blog slams everything Moto and Palm and looks down its nose at everything not Apple or Android (the "A" list). I'm just trying to pass on some advice. This is a pretty good source of mobile-related news in general, but when news becomes unabashed, unnecessary, and for the most part undeserved commentary then you run the risk of alienating, what, 90+% of the market that isn't on their "A" list. It's their blog (sort of, unfortunately I own stock in TWX), and they can do what they please. They have opinions that are theirs to express. But it doesn't mean that they can do so without any repercussion.
PS - if this turns into a double post, sorry. I posted this earlier and it didn't seem to take.

No. The _problem_ is your overblown knee-jerk reaction and misrepresentation of a blog post. Where you get your characterization of what was actually stated by Darren Murph was about as misaligned with reality as it gets. That's not opinion. That is objectivity.

Dude, obviously your back's been beat a little too hard of late. I feel for you...

Yet once more with the off-target idiotic references. Fuckin troll.

"Cause & Effect, kid. Look into it. Own it."
"Such thin-skinned pansies needn't play where adults dare to tread, clown. Back to your Rosey-Palm circus from whence you came!"
"Why so moist over a 0.1 OS upgrade (if that, since Tilt is now at 6.1) over your Tilt? How does your life expand beyond its current state? Never had a Treo before?"
"The last 2 remaining Palm fanboys on Earth are now moist with anticipation."
"Looks like both of Palm's remaining fanboys have something to get moist with anticipation about! Yippee!"
"Ya bitchboy! Yes, that applies to both of you, John/Marty."
The above are 6 out of your last 8 posts (stretching back to September and not including your last two to me). ALL one liners in response to threads covering the Treo Pro. Do you know what a troll is?? Seriously!?! The other two not quoted would PROBABLY not be considered to be "trolling," but 6 out of 8 epitomize the concept. I really think you're missing a sprocket, my friend. And apparently have a problem with moisture...
Over and out.

Once again, taking the easy way out by not providing context, troll? If you actually observed the Cause & Effect within those threads (as well as this one) AND had an atom of integrity, you would never have mischaracterized so grossly. Work for the RNC, or just trying to obtain one of their vacancies? Thin-skinned juveniles, such as you, are a dime-a-million and never gain traction. Move on.

Backbeat,
your comment is not helpful
Paul,
I too love the Palm Treo Pro, however I recently dropped it (and I blame it on this idiot at the Rental Car drop off) and now the little plastic backing on the keyboard doesn't lay perfectly flat... SADDNESS ENSUES

Paul, that sucks. One of the things I loved about my old Treo 650 was how indestructible the thing was (dropped to the curb more times than I care to admit). That's why I'm not ever going to buy another non-candybar phone (had too many flips and slides die from minor accidents). It is somewhat discouraging to hear that the Pro was so disfigured from a rather short fall. I guess one of the things you lose when shrinking phones is padding and resilience. Here's hoping you can figure out a way to get it fixed...
