BlackBerry Storm comes to Vodafone today -- take cover immediately
Just how badly do you want a Storm? Badly enough to pull up your long-established roots, fly for half a day, and take residence in a foreign land thousands of miles from home? For Americans who absolutely cannot wait another week for RIM's first touchscreen device to launch on domestic soil, that's the only option; for Brits on Vodafone, though, heaven is but a single shop trip away. The BlackBerry Storm has now officially launched in the Old Country and can be had for as little as zilch on a Voda plan, so do let us know how your experiences go, yeah? Your yankee friends thank you in advance.

So the question is, can I buy a voda storm and put an att sim card in it?
Dinesh @ Nov 14th 2008 9:59PM
Well it'll most likely be locked to Vodafone UK. You'll need to get a sim-unlock code so you can use your AT&T card.

Got one yesterday, very disappointed with it. The top menu is nice and graphical, drill any further and it's all text based.. Its' scrolling is slow to respond and I have seen more timers than required for boiling enough eggs for a spoon race..
Was going to sell my iPhone 1G but now I am torn... However my g/f (not a techie) loves it..

I preordered mine, when to the Vodafone Store at 9:30 am and they had sold them all. I have to say, the screen is amazing! alot better than typing on my iPod Touch :D.

I don't know man, that thing looks SICK. Kind of like a the big-ass of a luscious Latina chick on some free porn site. Yes, indeed.
If this comes to Tmo, I just might park my G1 to test its ass out. I like the wider screenage, and the new OS is spiffy ridiculous.
Come to parpar.

My only fault with it is the lack of harware acceleration leaving the scrolling to be abit choppy.
Click screen seems a bit of a gimmick but t9 typing for 1 handed typing is a boost over the iphone. All it needs now is an app market

After getting excited upon receiving my personal invitation to the Nov 17-21 private event, I couldn't wait to head in to see the Blackberry Storm, featured on the front of the mailing. I've been reading everything I could about this phone, and was looking forward to seeing it up close and personal.
After waiting a few days, in case there were crowds in the store, I decided to drive into my Manassas, VA store today (11/19) to have a look myself. Lo and behold, there were no Storm's in the store! The personnel there told me that they thought it MIGHT be in by the 21st. I suppose I should have called, but when the mailing clearly says Nov 17-21, you'd think that halfway through the 'private' event, that they'd have phones in the store...

You should probably READ the flyer. I received the same flyer and nowhere on it does it say that the Storm is available on 11/19. It does, however, detail special prices on some phones for this week only.
