Windows Mobile 6.1-based NDrive S400 gets specced and pictured

Tired of the same 'ole, same 'ole when it comes to Windows Mobile 6.1-based handsets? Yeah, well you probably won't dig the NDrive S400 too much. Sure, it has its own personal charm, but by and large it's fairly predictable. Not that we're kvetching about a 624MHz Marvell PXA310 CPU, 128MB of RAM, quad-band GSM connectivity, HSDPA support, a VGA (640 x 480) display and aGPS, but there's no denying this thing could use a dash of personality. At any rate, we're also informed that it'll arrive with Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, a microSDHC slot, video out, a 1,500mAh battery, accelerometer and an FM radio module, and being just 16.9-millimeters thick with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard isn't too shabby, either. As these things always seem to go, pricing and availability is anyone's guess.

From a specs standpoint its quite nice, though I think they should have upped the ram a bit as its only average for a device coming out now. The external design is as you said, quite weak.....but if the price is right that might not matter much.

wtf are people talking about? A good speed cpu, vga display, accelerometer, FM radio, thin WITH a slide out qwerty keyboard and it's "same 'ole same 'ole?"
I think not...it's not ground-breaking but it ain't generic.

Woo! It's almost powerful to properly run WinMo! We might be getting closer to a good WinMo phone. Does sound good spec wise tho. Hope HTC starts upping the power on their phones.

Well I dunno about the Touch HD since its non-usa :( but the fastest phone we got from HTC in the states is the Sprint Touch Diamond with 528 MHz, tho I guess the RAM is higher.

This phone looks nominally like the O2 XDA Zest. In fact the specs are so similar it is likely that Asus is the ODM for this device as well. NDrive has previously gone with TechFaith Wireless for their Windows Mobile phones.
