HTC Fuze now for sale on AT&T's web site

Well, that didn't take long -- the HTC Fuze just started trickling into AT&T retail stores, and now it's available for sale online as well. Just as we'd heard, pricing is set at $300 after rebate on a two-year contract, which makes the iPhone / BlackBerry Bold / Fuze decision all the more difficult for AT&T customers -- a dilemma we're guessing the suits in Dallas are only too happy to inflict upon the gadget geek masses. So, what's it gonna be?

You can do an exception upgrade if you want to, if you're not eligible for a standard upgrade yet. An exception upgrade is the 2 year contract price + $75. You're eligible for that exception upgrade as soon as 6 months into your contract (only 1 exception upgrade per every 12 months though). Not much of a discount off of the full price, but still something. But if your contract is up in February, you should be able to upgrade now, or soon, since upgrades are available at the latest 20 months into the 24 month contract. You can log into your myWireless account, or just call 611 to double check though.

Hmm... It definitely looks nice, but what's the main advantage over the Tilt? Is it mainly VGA vs QVGA? Or TouchFLO 3D over standard WinMo 6.1? I acquired my Tilt the weekend it came out last year, and I can't seem to find enough excuses to motivate me into buying the Fuze... Someone convince me? :p
At this point I'm tempted to just wait out my contract another year to see if Android makes its way to AT&T by then...

X1 is coming to the USA too, seemingly to Best Buy. Maybe it would be a better option if you've already got a phone as sweet as the Tilt.

Just called 6 different AT&T retailers, I was either told its not released yet (BS) or that it wont be in until next week. I just want to upgrade my original blackjack

Just picked mine up in the store. So far everything is great except for the proprietary charging and headphone cable. Getting used to Winmo for the first time but it's pretty easy to figure out.

I wanted the instant gratification of grabbing one in the store. I checked one of the stores in my area last night and called another this morning - nothing (Providence, RI) so I ordered off the site (I have been in "upgrade city" for the last 3 weeks and waiting anxiously. Now I am just waiting for the FedEx man.

The catch: you have to sign up for a personal data plan (30 bucks a month, minimum) AND at least 900 daytime minutes (59.99 a month). So your total cost of service per month: $90.00. Keep in mind, this does not include any form of messaging. If you want unlimited messaging, tack on another 20 bucks. Grand total: $110.00 plus tax. Looking close to $130.00 per month.

You drop the plan down to 450 minutes per month and the phone price goes up to $100.00, but your monthly bill goes down by 20 bucks. Five months on contract at that price is just like getting it for free and keeping the 900 minute plan.

Pay now or pay later, either way AT&T gets paid.

i check this out in an at&t store. touch flow isnt as great as i though it would be. highly disppointed and ive been waiting for this phone for a very very long time =( im keeping mybold. sad sad sad. BUT the keyboard seems great. The response time on the touch screen sucked and it is sluggish =( whhhy!!!!!! =(
