$131k Softbank 823SH Tiffany handset sells out in three days

Recession? What recession? While many in this world are grumbling about a so-called weakened economy, at least eight individuals aren't hurtin' at all. Or, at least they aren't acting like it. The (very) limited edition Softbank 823SH Tiffany, which was offered up for ¥13 million, has sold out in just three days, proving once again that there is simply nothing too expensive for at least some folks to buy.

I take it no carrier is going to cover this under the $5 monthly insurance lol. maybe with a $130.9 deductible.

You know, I don't have a problem with people spending that much money on stuff like this, but I wish they would exhibit a hint of taste when doing so. I think I'll get a bedazzle thing and start making masterpieces.

Why don't you have a problem w/ people spending that much money on a diamond-covered cell phone?

Because its their money to do what they please, some people spend their money on booze or crack, some people spend it on leather whips chains and hancuffs, some people spend it on diamond encrusted phones.

I agree though, at least have some taste, this phone is hideous.

You're so right, but if people want to spend their money on something so stupid -- let them. However, anyone who did buy a Tiffany phone, should be MORE concerned with possibly getting mugged and kill for it. Then of course, making the money spent on it, pointless and more stupid.
