Hey, we've got a joke for you: what do you call a phone with a display that just goes blank without warning? A
Nokia 5610! Get it? Okay, so that's not a joke -- it's totally happening to some T-Mobile customers right now, and sales of the
XpressMusic slider have been temporarily halted so Nokia can figure out what the heck is going on. It's important to note here that the phones aren't being recalled, they're just not being sold anymore; if you currently have a 5610 and you're not, you know,
seeing anything on the display, you're encouraged to get in touch with customer care to "discuss available options."

Yeah, not sure if I've experienced the exact issue, but the display does seem to "fade to black" rather quickly when the battery is low.

I hate to disappoint you but good things do happen in this world. First...T-Mobile 3G, then G1, then Samsung T919, then Obama. I don't think it can get any better.... and also hopefuly my herniated back will be a history as it hurts as much as reading a post from someone who would rather vote for the republicans. Luckily for my herniated back...there's a cure. For making a bad choice - not so much.
