yeah, first and foremost...they could start getting devices that "high end" users actually want. i'm a bit of a winmo user, but i'm not gonna put that in stone, but i can't think of a verizon device that i'd actually LOVE to have. sure there are some that you'd settle on, but there isn't anything like the iphone, at&t fuze (touch pro), G1, or even a SIDEKICK to get your pulse pumpin. i guess i could always settle on the Dare, the girl walking on the ledge in that commercial is pretty hot
Of course it's a sales move. But instead of saying "Our phone has "X" feature" they're saying "Their phone doesn't have "X" feature". So they'll tell you that the G1 doesn't have a video recorder or stereo Bluetooth but they won't come out and say the Storm doesn't have WiFi.
Ryan, this is an internal memo to VZW employees... are you that stupid? VZW isn't hiding that this doesn't have WiFi and their employees are well aware of it, but since when is it such a fucking sin for a company to teach their employees the shortcomings of a competitors phone?
If I were Verizon instead of being so concerned about the G1 and teaching its limitations to its sales force, Id go back to basics and teach them that IM Caht is not considered a part of the data plan. I left Verizon after 2 reps lied claiming IM chat was part of data and that i could drop text only to find out I was being charged for text messaging evey time I used Aim. They also give way free Motorola W755's but when one fails for no reason replace it with a used one. I will give tmobile the benefit of the doubt at this point and with googles backing and open source hope they get the network and shortcummings fixed in a year.
I have a question to anybody that can answer it..and it may sound stupid but I have verizon now and the service is great but i am dying for the g1 phone from tmobile..is there a way to unlock and convert the g1 and then use it with my verizon service i know that certain companys like att and tmobile use sim cards..and verizon and sprint dont but is there a way to do it:(

Verizon: always first to point out flaws in competitors' devices, but won't acknowledge flaws in theirs.

It's called sales moron. They'd be fools not to do this.
