Samsung's C6620 looks fun, means business with WinMo 6.1
Along with the change in naming convention comes a change in industrial design, and the C6620 -- one of the first smartphones to make use of Samsung's annoying new one-letter, four-digit scheme -- definitely looks a bit different than your average WinMo piece out of Seoul. Italian carrier TIM appears to be the first in the world to offer it, featuring triband GSM along with HSDPA, Bluetooth (we should certainly hope so), and a 2-megapixel camera -- not earth-shattering by any stretch, but we're digging the two-tone thing they've got going on here. It's selling for €199 (about $254), which we think makes this (or something very close to it) a perfect spiritual successor to the original BlackJack, yeah?

this phone is looking really nice. i love the red! and it does seem as if this should be the new blackjack, since AT&T forgot about the blackjack naming theme for its samsung windows mobile phones... this could be a nice contender if the square in the middle of the d-pad is an optical mouse? anyone?

I think the two-tone looks juvenile. Definitely seems more suited to be in a teenager's hands rather than an adult or businessman's.

Gee, you must be fun at parties, carcomptoy! I'm not sure about the myriad of colors but the right ones would look cool. Of course, if you're some 50+ y.o. uptight white guy like carcomptoy, this may not be for you.

I agree with carcomp and im 26. The phone looks ridiculous. That two tone is hideous. This phone will be extremely polarizing.

@ carcomptoy is a fuddy dud :
The phone looks like appale nano team made it after too many shots of tequila. Looks ugly and hard to read. But at least it'll match your purse!

...but it matches your bra and panties much better...

my $.02 is that Samsung produced these handsets to bring WM6.1 to the non buisness customer set.
i.e. the soccer mom who likes her dark blue Explorer so much that she wants to buy a phone that matches her SUV, and also keeps her PIM organized and lets her get her email on it.
or the young professional who wants an all around phone that works hard and plays hard, and also wants to stand out in a crowded meeting as the edgy guy.
or the 14 y/o girl who gets whatever she wants, and she wants "that pretty red and white samsung daddy! buy it for me""

Sprint should get this.

Especially since Android isn't good enough for them...

Ironically, I'm about 2/5 of your estimated age, but nice try.
To qualify my statement, two-tone isn't inherently juvenile-looking, but white and any bright or bold color certainly are. I believe a nice Silver and Titanium would have looked nice, or silver and black for that matter, although that's starting to become cliche post-iPhone.
