I don't know about the grudge against walmart, but i hear it a lot. Walmart does more good for the economy than any other company, ever. They created loads of jobs stateside and internationally. They also increased consumer spending, and thus fueling the economy. As the state of economy in the US right now, I would say a few more Walmarts is exactly what we need.
On a related note, it seems like people hate supporting large corporations. If you ever learned anything about economics, you would know that major corporation does a lot more good than they do "harm." Large corporations create jobs for people domestically and internationally, provide better goods at cheaper prices for people, and are way more important to the economy than "mom 'n pop" stores. Globalization and capitalism is what will save the economy for the US and the world.

31 dollars in savings isn't worth it in exchange for having to support Walmart.
