AWS, or Advanced Wireless Services, is the spectrum allocated by the FCC for broadband services in around 2006. It represents the new 1700 MHz and 2100 MHz frequencies for mobile 3G.
Most people equate AWS with T-MobileUSA's 3G network, since they are the only network so far to entirely be built on this spectrum. This is a CDMA handset, instead of a GSM device, so for all us T-Mobile subscribers watching for anything labeled "AWS" combined with "Nokia", our hopes are dashed again...
HELLO, NOKIA?? All those loyal Nseries smartphone users at T-MobileUSA, a brand new 3G network, spectrum rights to cover the entire country, and NOT ONE AWS GSM HANDSET FOR T.MOBILEUSA YET?!?!
