My iPhone also makes a clicking sound when I type, except that I turned it off.
I dunno... it's a good phone no doubt, and I'm anxious to try one just for kicks. But I only see a few ways in which the click screen has advantages over the iPhone, and it's not while typing. The only way it helps is to avoid clicking a link by mistake while scrolling. Otherwise, I think the click screen just slows things down because you have to press deliberately rather than just lightly tap.
