LG bringing Secret, mid-range slider to AT&T?
We've heard some rumblings that AT&T was keen on picking up the Secret to shore up its high-end featurephone lineup, and that's being corroborated by what other sites are hearing as well -- all told, that leaves LG in a pretty enviable position with the 800-pound gorilla of the US GSM market, presumably launching the sexy (well, arguably sexy) Incite smartphone alongside one of the smartest-looking 5-megapixel handsets in the market today. The Secret clone, model number CF750, should apparently feature the same high-end cam, thin shell, 3G, and touchscreen as its European brother, simply swapping bands to make the package a little more palatable to a North American audience. Moving downmarket a little bit, the CF360 looks to be a lower-end piece that'll do duty in AT&T's rank-and-file lineup -- in other words, it'll basically print money. We're cool with all this, but seriously, guys, can we tighten up the European to North American technology transfer just a little bit? No? Too much to ask?

This is completely unrelated to technology, but still...maybe I didn't notice it before, but before Sarah Palin, I can't recall ever hearing anyone using the phrase "shore up" before. Perhaps it's just a regional thing.

Back to technology. Okay, I'm just pretty damn happy that LG and AT&T are making nice nice. I remember when only VZW had enviable LG phones and the North American GSM ones were complete jokes. The LG Secret is sexy. More importantly, the lower end CF360 is kinda sexy, too. Finally a company realizes that just because someone's on budget, doesn't mean he or she wants cell phones that magnify that fact.

To be honest, the LG Secret really isn't that appealing to me. Does anyone else think the keypad absolutely destroys any "sex appeal" this phone might have had?

Until you've held one in your hands, you will not know the extent of its sexiness. It reeks of substantiated quality, and backs it up with a fair bit of tech.

....and your post adds to the informational atmosphere in what manner?

You know what I love? When a comment is deleted and the replies to said comment are left scattered around the comments section.
And guess what. I'm in love RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, we're not going to tolerate that kind of talk around here. I've "fixed" the "glitch," if you catch my drift.

(Talking about the OP, that is)

xD Chris, you never fail to make me smile. Getting replies from you totally beats doing the work I should be doing.

i have an LG secret, and lemme tell you the cellphone sucks.
- the so called blue neon lighting stop working after a month, so your stuck with 2 directional buttons, the rest nonfunctional
- the reception is truly horrible, what cellphone loses reception if i out it in my jeans pocket?
- the battery indicator, either the 3 battery bars are full, or if ones downs, it will switch off in 15 mins
