The 780 was a great phone and ahead of its time: embedded Linux, EDGE data, the flip actually had an external number pad and could be used for text messaging and the phone could be answered with the flip up or down, it came with Opera for the web browser, it was one of the first phones to use transflash/microSD, and a host of other items. Mot has been going backwards ever since and has provided no support for these phones in terms of updates and software.
