Motorola Krave ZN4 officially launches on Verizon for $149.99
Color us as unsurprised as ever, but Motorola's unique, if not fancy, Krave ZN4 just got official. The touchscreen-based flip phone is launching today on Verizon Wireless, bringing with it two layers of touch -- one on the interactive clear flip outside and another with the full 2.8-inch touchscreen inside. You'll also find support for V CAST Mobile TV, V CAST Video, V CAST Music with Rhapsody and VZ Navigator, not to mention the 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, HTML browser and visual voicemail capabilities. It's in stores today for a buck fifty after signing away your cellular soul for two years and waiting ages for a $50 mail-in rebate to arrive in your mailbox.

I work for verizon, and the turn around time for a rebate once mailed is about two weeks, sometimes less, this is coming from my customers, not myself. VZW has even titled them "quick rebates".

i'm a customer and i have to agree. i've always gotten my rebates really fast.

Quick question for you Verizon Guru's....
I have an American Choice II plan, will this phone require me to switch to a nationwide plan?
I know so far, the Glyde, Dare, and Voyager all require you to switch to a current nationwide plan, so does anyone know?

Yes it will require you to switch to the new Nationwide Pricing plan. It's going to be on of those phones where it almost doesn't make sense unless you go with the premium calling plan. If you want it to be able to do everything it's capable of that's what you need to go with.

We posted a 7.5 minute long demo video of the Krave ZN4 in action. It's a really hot device - I am really impressed by the touch sensitive nature of the plastic flip.

That's probably the ugliest handset I've ever seen.

Yeah, because you NEVER have to touch the iPhone more than once to get it to register. Please people, get over the iPhone! Yes, it is a great device, but not every touchscreen phones that is released is aimed at competing with the iPhone. Touch is just becoming a new standard, alongside flip, candybar, slider, etc. Shut up already,

Take it easy Duesch Bag!!! I don't own a iphone and have know intentions of being one of the smacked asses to spend that much on phone.I'm just saying they should take it easy on releasing all these touch screens until they can perfect it like the iphone.i had the voyager and the Dare. The Dare touch screen isn't that bad but its not as fluent as the iphone. I'm not an apple fan. i just can appreciate a quality device thats done right.

while it may have seemed directed at you c64, it sounded more like an overall comment. people are sick and tired of EVERYTHING being compared to the iphone. it wasn't the first, won't be the last, and is by far not the best. it set one helluva standard, to be sure, but it's not the end-all-be-all
MobiusXP @ Oct 14th 2008 7:06PM
It seems like a nice idea, but it seems kinda awkward horizontally with the plastic flip.
