No offense, but the iPhone is like a toy compared to other, more professional, smart phones out there. WinMo does not belong on that phone... iPhones cant even use a stylus >.
Dude, a true touch phone, phone, should not require a stylus. WM have and will always require stylus's unless someone with the proper image in their minds redesigns it to be 100% user touch friendly like the iPhone. I used to have the iPhone and after that, switched back to Sprint after 2 months and got the HTC Diamond. I've had all prior WM devices offered by Sprint and even with HTC's Touch Flo 3D over WM, it still wasn't 100% touch friendly, and required the Stylus on some parts which was very annoying for a device portrayed as a "touch only" device.
You've obviously owned WM phones for so long, you feel the Stylus is a vital part of every day life, and while it is on WM devices, the iPhone's Thermo-Touchscreen is far superior over the Pressure Touchscreens found on all non-iPhone devices. A stylus is good for precision, yes. But for that same matter, a lot of us on the go don't have time to whip out a stylus and worry about the 2cm wide QWERTY key's on the WM keyboards, and don't like the accuracy of the Pressure Touchscreen phones on the Suretype style and 10key phone pad.'
Please stop making blanket statements and start making neutral statements if you can't give credit to both technology's where credit is due.
Whoa whoa calm down. My stylus comment was based on the fact that WinMo pretty much NEEDS a stylus, even if only once in a while. And the iPhone doesnt have a stylus, making the idea of putting WinMo on the iPhone even worse.
And also, I dont call the iPhone a toy because it doesnt use a stylus. I call it that because of all the many basic things its missing. Yet people still buy it, just because its a fashion statement, just because its apple.
Dont get me wrong, I think phones should be able to work without a stylus too, but until WM7 comes out, phones with WM will always need a stylus. Actually, now that I think about it, the stylus will probably always be there, even if unnecessary for navigating the UI. Mainly because the asian countries would probably still want it to be able to write asian characters instead of typing in english.
