Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic phone intimately detailed on video
If you've been enjoying those still pictures of Nokia's 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen phone, but feel you're lacking an in-depth experience, we think we can help. A slew of demo and instruction videos have just been slapped up on the Ovi Share site, allowing you to get a better idea of just how the device works, and what it looks like when it's doing it. Luckily for you, we've taken the trouble of including all of the videos after the break for your viewing pleasure, saving you the painful and laborious experience of hitting a read link. Enjoy.

**Drool**, I'm not a fan of full touchscreen phone but this is the first phone that sells it right. Got to get it.

Handwriting recognition! That sounds sweet.

haha. why dont they ever show it scrolling through contacts or music. they always select whatever items that are already on the screen. pretty good phone, i just dont like the resistive touch screen.

Price and what you get is probally the main selling point for this phone. I mean there's no phone that offers all this for contract free here in uk like 5800XM.
Got K850i and 5800XM is actually so cheap that i'm buying it next my SE :D Thought i'm still more intrested about those flagship phones next year with more power under the hood and who knows with that features and if we believe Eldar(Mobile-Review.com) totally new UI or refined S60 5th edition will be in those flagship phones.

WOW! Im so UNDERimpressed
this really sucks
i have been waiting for this phone for so long now
what a let down
totally not interested anymore after watching this
we all knew this was a catch-up-to-everyone-else phone,
but its been a year and a half almost since the iphone first came out!
and all nokia managed to do was take s60, mix in some lg prada themes, and throw in some iphone screens.
(now dont call me an apple fanboy, cuz im not.lol. nokia is my fav! this phone is just a let down)
look at that 'read text message' screen. totally just a regular s60 screen. i dont see any improvements.
look at the 'landscape qwerty compose text' screen. *cough*lg prada*cough*
and its obvious what screens look like the iphone.
simple tasks took too much time to load in those videos.
i dont care if the pics are 3.2mp and the load time was 2 secs.
u should not have to watch a stupid spinning circle to flip through pictures in the album!
also, ovi is great and all, but i dont freakin know a single person that uses it.
how about instead of trying to re-invent the entire world, we get status updates from sites people actually use like myspace and facebook. im sure both of those sites would love to have more cash flow in. and of course nokia does too. i would totally pay for a mobileme type thing that worked with myspace and facebook. upload my pics directly to them. sync my contacts with them. etc. (i dont mean sync with "friends". myspace does have a separate address book).
oh and give me a flipping break with the freakin pick! r u serious!? really now?! ya, let me sit there and click tiny ass on screen buttons with a stupid pick! dont think so. im happy to see you can switch to numerical keypad. hopefully it has T9 instead of multitap only. i didnt notice that detail.
the interface sucked. the phone looked slow. input looked like a bitch (see how many times demonstrators had to click some things and scroll to get a response). and ovi means nothing to me.
count me out. i guess android phone it is. until the new communicator comes out at least.
