Press shots of Verizon's BlackBerry Storm surface
So you've already seen what RIM's BlackBerry Storm looks like in Vodafone garb, but if your feeble mind just can't envision what it'd look like with a Verizon logo on there, feast your retinas on this. A few new press shots of the VZW Storm have swooped in, though there's nary a surprise to be found. Still, we know you enjoy gawking, so hit the read link for a few more angles. As for a hard release date? Puhlease.

i really hate the way verizon manages to screw up every phone with their crappy UI.
Michael @ Sep 29th 2008 1:16AM
um, this is RIM's UI with a VZW wallpaper. I lol'd at you..

Psst, It's Blackberrys UI. But if you are speaking about their other phones in general I'd have to agree with you. Hideous and unwieldy, everything about thier custom UIs say "BUY MORE SERVICES!".
Its obnoxious, It seems like it was created by a commitee of CEOs with no regard to everyday function.

"seems like" ?

There are some new screen shots of the UI. http://crackberry.com/just-new-verizon-blackberry-storm-pics
I do agree Verizon should keep their UI how the manufacture intended it to be. Hopefully those screens from crackberry will be what the phone looks like when it ships. However, I'm pretty certain the devices will look like the above photos. One good thing though, you can skin the BB OS, so... it doesn't have to look like the verizon design.

Finally a Blackberry that will have a decent browser and a better way of navigating the web than the trackball.

Per one Verizon Wireless employee I spoke to yesterday, they have to have their "training" completed no later than Nov. 2nd on this... so release should be later in the month of November, methinks.

I hope it doesnt have that leather back like the Bold does I dont like the feel of the Bold at all. This is the one phone that makes me wait to purchase an iPhone. It is so tempting, but I want to see what RIM does first.
