Palm Treo Pro to get real for AT&T?

File this under rumor -- at least for now -- but Palm's quarterly earning report coughed up the usual financials and news that the Treo Pro's heading to an American carrier. While none were specifically mentioned, speculation has it that due to the Palm's relationship with T-Mobile -- or lack thereof -- AT&T's the Treo Pro's potential new home. We've not gotten anywhere near a release date or pricing, yet, but WMExperts is speculating December looks good for the big party. Holiday gift giving ideas anyone?

That does make sense, it would be a nice replacement for the aging 750.

Looks like both of Palm's remaining fanboys have something to get moist with anticipation about! Yippee!

I don't think any expensive smart phone is smart to go with AT&T as long as they are the only US carriers with iPhone. They would just be completely competing with the iPhone that way.

Wouldn't that be a win-win for the ATT?

Yes, so far the 750 has been great for me and I am ready for an upgrade. A better screen res and more memory are needed. PLEASE, no more comparisons to true business class devices with the iPhone. Here are my requirements and the requirements for a large population of people whom you don't hear from on these boards: ActiveSync for flawless syncing to Exchange server (thus email, cal, contacts, tasks synced up at all times), external qwerty keyboard for firing off quick and emails and SMS (iphone can't beat read hardware keys for error free, quick typing), touchscreen for flexibility. No bells, no whistles, no app store, no expensive data plan. If those are my requirements, there are few phones other than the Treo that fit the bill.
