the government most likely has not cleared the spectrum for the DC market yet, T-Mobile is flipping the switch on 3g markets as the government lets them. If you read the press release you will see "T-Mobile and the U.S. government, namely the Department of Commerce, Department of Defense and the Department of Justice, continue to work closely and effectively together to make available AWS spectrum that will give our customers access to T-Mobile’s 3G network."

Memphis is the largest city in state of Tennessee, have total population of 674,028, and the 18th largest city in the US, right behind Fort Worth, Texas. Fedex Corporation headquarters is based in Memphis, and First Horizon National Corporation.
Memphis International Airport is the world largest airport by cargo traffic, UPS second largest hub is also in Memphis.
Do you even know how many people live in Memphis's metropolitan area? Is well over 1 million, and kept increasing.
I live in suburb of Memphis, and I can't wait for 3G!!!!
