Helio Ocean 2 arrives at the FCC
Looks like we're inching ever closer to getting our paws on the mythical Helio Ocean 2 -- the fun-loving regulators at the FCC just added a Pantech OZII dual-slider handset with Helio branding to their all-knowing database. Nothing you couldn't have guessed here -- QVGA display, EV-DO, 2 megapixel cam with video, full HTML browser, A2DP support -- but hey, this is The Phone That Could Have But Didn't Save Helio, you know? It's alright to be excited.

Too little, too late. Sorry Helio, just call it outdated. I'd take an iPhone and or Android over this no question.

wow if that is really is hello is pretty stupid! They will lose so many customers if that is it. i dont care how many more features it has. the main complaint for most ppl is that the screen is to small. i mean is they are going to compete with other phones they honestly need to change the screen size, make it more flashy and pretty cause thats all ppl want is flashy sh*#t and they need to make there phone based off of what ppl prefure now days. yes not everyone wants that but come on. if your going to have interent on your phone and use it. you want a bigger screen peroid! i love my ocean but there are things i dont like about it and your always going to have that with any phone you buy. there will always be something you dont like and they all will have problems... its all just based on what you prefure...

Actually, the OZ2 is slated for release sometime next year after they "revise" the device since it's obviously outdated at this point. The reason we're seeing these pics now is because Pantech submitted this to the FCC back in April and the confidentiality agreement on the pictures has run out this month.
