G1 appears on T-Mobile's site
Snap -- looks like the Android-powered T-Mobile G1 is peeking out a little early in the form of a non-working pre-registration link on the my.t-mobile.com customer portal. No specs or info, but if you had any doubt this thing was coming on Tuesday we'd say it just got cleared up. Get ready for the Googlephone, kids.

You have to log in to mytmobile, then manually paste in the URL from the image above:
https://my.t-mobile.com/promotions/welcometemplate.aspx

pasting that URL works to get you the web page that is pictured, but its a dead link, the site doesn't exist yet. Probably after the official launch on Tuesday.

Wow! I'm really excited now!
By the way, I noticed that the tiny pic of the G1 looks just like the prototype. I guess those people who were 100% sure it is not the real phone were in fact wrong? Or could this be yet another tease leaked by t-mo, htc, and google? I'm leaning more towards the idea that this is the real deal...

Very Nice.
Even Better when the link is Live and not broken heheheee

I suppose that really Might be the Final Design then.

Are you sure this is real? I get a 404 error when I go to the link displayed (my.t-mobile.com/promotions/welcomtemplate.aspx) and this is not displayed when I log into my T-Mobile page.

How do you read G1? G-one? Gone? So it's a goner?
plh2034 @ Sep 19th 2008 7:25PM

So i got a question. Does the G1 have a capacative touch screen or whatever like the iphone? just wondering.....
Galen20K @ Sep 19th 2008 7:50PM
Yes it does have Capacitive screen.

However it is believed not to have multi touch capabilities, which if true is fine by me. IMHO, even without it its 10x the smartphone the iPhone is.
Michael @ Sep 19th 2008 6:40PM
well when i follow that link and log into my tmo that little box about the G1 isnt there, just some tour thing. Guess ill wait till tuesday.
Jon @ Sep 19th 2008 11:32PM
It was taken down i guess it doesn't show up on my page
frank @ Sep 19th 2008 9:11PM
I'm more curious about UMA. T-Mo hasn't taken it very seriously and it doesn't help that all the android developer blogs talk about how it's being rushed to market. Hard to imagine they'll find time to implement this life-saving (to me) feature.
manoj @ Sep 19th 2008 10:11PM
is android google's first final release.
correct me if not.
Libran Lover @ Sep 20th 2008 2:16AM
why no higher-resolution screen shot? why no screen shot zoomed in on the G1 picture? it was not hard to guess that they showed it there by mistake and that they would take it away as soon as they realized it!
