Oh wait - that's only 50 MB.

So, uh - 100 MB on a PDA or BB would be... um.... $119.98.

OMG! iPhone data costs a WHOLE PENNY MORE than a BlackBerry International Data does!!!! Someone call the AT&T rate plan police!!!!

Folks - again... iPhone 3G is a PDA! Therefore, any rate plan for data is in line with all other AT&T PDA data plans. The only difference here is that it's set at 100 MB or 200 MB, not 20 MB or 50 MB. Reason probably is - that when you browse on the iPhone you're using more data for the browser than you would on a modified browser on your BB or PDA. They are trying to save you money here - so you don't pay overages.

Jeff

Comments on AT&T adds two international data plans for iPhone, still pricey

The IPhones international data packages are ridiculous and the comparison to the AT&T Blackberry packages are way off.

For the BBs, you can have a $39.99 voice package + unlimited international data for $64.99. The reason for this is that RIM actually has agreements with carriers around the world for this kind of tomfoolery. Many blackberries are outed as being phones for world traveleds and RIM has stakes their success on this. It's paid off obviously :-/

I hate it when people just bitch without finding out the facts first.

jacob
