Nothing like a major handset launch to kick off your Friday, and the last time we checked, the iPhone 3G was kind of a big deal. Congrats, Indian friends -- just keep an eye out for cracks, will ya?
I was expecting Engadget to come up with more pictures of the event. This particular picture doesn't even clearl;y portray the kind of frenzy seen during the launch.
May be you should have read some Indian blogs who covered the event live.
Vodafone slashed the price on launch day here in India...8GB is now Rs. 29,640 and 16gb is Rs. 34580....maybe artel will also come up with something...also, no unlimited data plans in vodafone :(
Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but does this mean that phone will be coming out with all the bugs and hardware glitches we are enjoying here in the states? You know, the ones the firmware so far have been unable to completely fix?

There is a fix, just rename the Phone to iPhone 2G..no expectations and everyone is happy
