BlackBerry Bold hits Rogers on August 21st, so get your thumbs worked-out
Well, it looks like that long, painful wait is finally over. According to all kinds of tipsters, the BlackBerry Bold touches down for the first time in North America (in its home country of Canada, obviously) come August 21st (that's this Thursday, in case you don't own a calendar, computer, or have any friends). That's right -- the Bold will land on Rogers (where else?) with a price tag set somewhere between the dark valley of $300 and $400, according to Research In Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie. Reports say the phone will be available from other carriers by the end of the week, though we don't have any definitive rumblings that confirm such heavenly ideas. You'll know more when we do, of course.

Yeah well atleast the key pad on the blackberries works... unlike the keypad on the iphone... I have never seen so many spelling mistakes as I have on an iphone. The iphone is the worst phone to type on.
I find the blackberry alot easier to navigate then the stupid iphone too. but hey thats just me.

get a life and stop hating on every blackberry post, when your phone of choice has basic functionality such as copy/paste...mms...and a usable keyboard then maybe, just maybe your post would make sense to 1% of the people on this blog

I actually own an iPhone and like it just fine. But your spamming is ridiculous and uncalled for. The Bold looks like an incredible device.

This information came through in an email.
In typical Rogers fashion, the main button to enter a contest leads to a broken website. The "Enter Conest" link works, but when you fill out a contest entry and submit it, that link is broken, too.
Way to test before you send out mass emails, Rogers.

Figures since I just got a Pearl to replace my old RAZR which snapped at the hinge, I love it so far =3. Personally like it better than the Windows Mobile phone I got from work in several areas (which is a HTC Mogul). Like WM feels abit sluggish at times and seems to have allot of glitches (like the tap-keyboard disappears on the Mogul at times, and IE closes itself as well, and apps sometimes crash). Then again, all the "smart phones" have their flaws, BB and iPhone included.
Also, the iPhone is nice but is AT&T only here in the US unfortunately (I have Sprint). Then again, so is the Blackberry Bold....

I think that when it finally does come out, my head will explode. I've been waiting for so long!

Shame on Rogers! BB Bold was released much earlier by T-Mobile in Germany! They even have an option to buy it without a contract, for the full price.
As to blackberry generally, I wish there were more freeware apps for Bold.
http://www.blackberryfreeware.org/ is a good start but we need more cool apps, which use GPS, WiFi etc!
