From my research (on this site and Boygeniusreport) it seems the Dream is not a CDMA phone. This means Sprint and Verizon wont be carrying immediately. I assume there will be CDMA versions in the future. For now its a T-Mobile exclusive for a week.

I am looking forward to seeing how they've culled the latest version of this operating system. Is it for power users? or more casual users?
