Motorola Atila gets leaked: think Alexander sans QWERTY
While legend has it that the Alexander possesses a beauty that only a mother could see, Motorola's Atila looks pretty sharp from here. The codenamed handset is said to be Alexander's non-QWERTY counterpart, boasting quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE, tri-band UMTS / HSDPA / HSUPA, a 2.8-inch QVGA (320 x 240) display, 802.11b/g WiFi, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and a Qualcomm 7201A chipset. Mum's the word on a price or release date, but we'll be sure to keep you in the loop.

Moto, come on, if you're using the 7201 chipset, you gotta give it a VGA screen. The Touch Diamond becomes a lightning fast speed machine if you take off TouchFLO 3D. If you're not using a custom UI, VGA would be a breeze for that chipset. And even with a custom UI, that chipset can still handle the load. Also, what's up with the conqueror phone names?

Would you rather RAZR, RIZR, PEBL, SLVR KRZR and um Q?

It's too bad this thing is Windows Mobile. As much as the RAZR has long over-stayed its welcome, it would have been fun to see a screen keyboard that had a similar futuristic look to it.

Awesome! Another 2.8 Windows Mobile Phone that makes 1.. 2.. 1,000 just like it. (I'm a (dying) Windows Mobile Fanboy by the way). I thing WM has an extreme amount of potential but most hardware manufactures suck-balls at harvesting it, and Microsoft does a horrible job updating and marketing it.
