Telus launches LG KEYBO

I just wish AT&T or any GSM carrier would release a GSM version of this phone. Or at least something similar. What is the deal with no similar GSM offerings? (Save for maybe the Sidekicks on T-Mo.) My wife can't find a single phone on AT&T that she likes that doesn't require a data plan or have a much higher purchase price to negate the requirement for a data plan.

I got my daughter a refurb Blackberry Curve off the AT&T website for $0. I told them i didn't want the data plan and just unlimited texting. They had no problem with not having a data plan.
The phone came in excellent condition and you would be hard pressed to tell it from a new curve. Maybe this isn't up your alley but, the main point is you can get a phone with a qwerty keyboard from AT&T without a data plan.

By only quoting the price under a 3-year contract, you are in fact endorsing and encouraging long-term slavery to Telus. No other country allows such long contracts. How about adopting a policy of quoting cash prices and only 1-yr or 2-yr contract prices?

The Telus website lists the Keybo at $299.99 contract free, $249 on a 1 year, and $99 on a 2 year.

I might actually get this....it's between this and the Blackberry Pearl...with that Blackberry costing many more hundreds
