Hey, Qwest customers, ever hear of Verizon? No? Good, because your landline operator would just love to facilitate that little introduction for you. Following
news earlier in the year that Qwest would be euthanizing its Sprint-based MVNO in favor of just simply reselling Verizon-branded equipment through its own channels, news has spread that the goods are now available from Qwest's kiosks, retail locations, and telesales line. For the time being, legacy Qwest Wireless subscribers can soldier on if they so choose, but the operator intends to put on the full-court press to get people converted by offering to waive the termination fee (golly, how very kind of them) and hooking up special deals.

When is Verizon going to actually buy Qwest. Everyone knows that Qwest pretty much doesn't exist anymore anyway since they've sold all their assets.

Just give them until LTE is out then we'll have Vodafone but first they got to buy Alltel, Qwest, then Sprint then get LTE running then Vodafone buys Verizon or Verizon Wireless and finally Vodafone USA

You guys almost make it sound like its a good thing that verizon buys out everyone. Don't get me wrong, I like verizon wireless, I've been with them for 4 years but once everyone is out of the way they can raise their prices cause they don't have any competition and we have a monopoly.

I've been pressing Qwest to tell me how it advantages me to stick w/ Qwest rather than just switch over to Verizon when my two-year contract ends in January 09. Amazing to hear the nonresponses: We don't know yet, but there are bound to be good reasons. Nothing has been decided. Please be patient. Wait until October. When I signed up for Qwest some years back, the first time, I was allowed to break the cost of my cell phone into three payments, each billed; apparently Verizon will offer no such break. So: Can anybody tell me why I should stick w/ Qwest? Switch out altogether to, say, AT&T or T-Mobile? --What a crock Qwest is stirring up.

Buy out Buy out Buy. Has anyone heard of the FCC.... Good because, and feel free to correct me if I am wrong unless all you have is rants and raves about corruption in organizations or politics, but do they(the FCC) not have to approve such buy outs and is it not possible that it would not be aproved to make of these 'seemlessly easy and inevitable',scarcasm,,,and inproper punctuation and written grammar,,, purchases for just the reason to avoid monopolies.... as i scratch my head trying to remember if monopolies have ever occured in the past and been broken up.
