I dont think your allowed to sign up for more then ONE street or neighborhood at a time. I also think its during certain times of the day, and you can only sign up a select amount of times per day or something. Not sure on this, but so Ive been told.

No kidding. I've only visited San Fran, but public transportation seemed WAY more efficient than one's own car. Less gas, fewer headaches, AND you get crazy old women who hit on you! Win-Win-(Win)!
Are you joking? It's not like it's Manhattan. Public transportation absolutely sucks here (and closes down -- save for some grossly inefficient nightbuses -- way too early). I take public transportation to work in the FiDi, but if you're looking to go to the beach, the park, or at least 80% of the other places in the city, it will take you 10x as long on public transportation. This is a great idea.
