"and it's looking pretty darn sweet."
Not sure what pics you guys are looking at, because the two screenshots posted there look laughably ugly. The screenshots you've posted in the past of the media player are the ones that look pretty darn sweet. This onscreen keyboard looks like Palm made it for OS 5.

so, i have a question, and it's probably the dumbest question out there.. but.. my 1st gen ipone broke today (screen shattered..yada yada) i 'upgraded' to the Curve (i am praying the bold comes out within 30 days so i can exchange) anyways, since my sim is now in the curve i obviously cant make calls, use edge on my iphone, BUT i can use wi-fi & my apps with wi-fi & my mp3 without being charged right? i mean, i basically have the touch now... correct? i sound really stupid but i just want to make sure.
TheGasMan @ Jul 13th 2008 10:54PM
Somehow this comment doesn't appear to be on topic.
carlo2 @ Jul 13th 2008 11:23PM
As long as there is no sim in your iPhone, you won't be charged by ATT for using its functions. You basically do have an iPod Touch... with a shattered screen. The sim card is what tells the carrier's network what phone you are using, who you are, what services are available to your device, etc etc.

Derek @ Jul 15th 2008 11:13AM
Ah, another person who hates BlackBerries because he never used one and can't afford the data plan anyway.
lakersin2025 @ Jul 14th 2008 11:17AM
Right on que just a few days behind the iphone release. I was going to wait for this but hell no. This thing is fugly!
Riley Freeman @ Jul 15th 2008 11:24AM
@ derek. lol hilarious.
ive played with a few of them.
Trackball = crap
ui = boring and ugly
phone = not user friendly
browsing = a joke
media capability = i shouldnt even put them in the same sentence
phone design = all the same
can i afford it? = 10 times over. i have a pda and a regular cell phone. and i had a pda in canada before we got unlimited data and if u remember what those prices were since it was constantly in the news i can probably afford more than u can. i never sign contract therefore i pay for my phones full price which is 600$ for pdays and over 400$ for regular cell phones since i have 2 lines.
waiting for the touch pro
so before ramble off a lot of crap u dont know. actually u shouldnt. dont agree who cares move on
Dmoney05 @ Jul 24th 2008 1:33PM
To Riley Freeman...only comment i have is that the new BB UI is very much better than the previous. Look at the BB Kickstart...thats a sexy ass Blackberry...thats all, lol

Pllllleeeeaaaasssseeee RIM, pull through for me. Although I am a bit of an Apple fan, I am getting to the point where I feel like the iPhone needs to die. Or at least make it's way out of 98% of Engadget's posts. Plus, I love my Curve, and am already on Verizon, so I'm all lined up. Put the Bold's UI and a quality touchscreen on it, and you have my business.
