1) The stylus is collapsible.
2) The stylus probably doesn't go into the phone. It's likely a part of a charm you attach to the phone.
3) They need a stylus cause the touchscreen probably isn't that good.

I have that one myself. It's not bad considering its small size: 102x51x13.9mm. And there are two colors out there now: black and silverwhite. If you want to check it out for more info, here is the link.
