T-Mobile Shadow II to support HotSpot@Home?
We've seen the HTC-sourced T-Mobile Shadow II peeking out from around the dark corners of eBay and the harsh lights of the FCC, but the latest word is that the WinMo slider will also come equipped with UMA, allowing it to work with HotSpot@Home. That's a first for an HTC handset and a first for Windows Mobile, but before you get all excited, check the source of those whispers: "market sources" quoted by Digitimes. Yeah, we'll believe it when we see it.

I would be surprised if it *didn't* have UMA, as I was when I found out that the original Shadow didn't. If a handset has WiFi, why not?

Being an early on tester of the @home service.. it is Tmobiles goal to get at least half of its phones @home capable by the end of the year.

We're looking at the Wing, as it appears to be the best featured PDA. Any idea about @home functionality for this one?

Lets see, OCT 20th release of the Shadow2,
and maybe a OCT 1st release of G1(HTC-Dream with Android)
If someone wants a new mobile, I can only guess which one is going to be on their wishlist.
If you want a Shadow2 only for the UMA feature, then keep in mind...
Big drawback to the UMA feature is that your mobile sucks the juice out of the battery.
Sort of like keeping your WiFi on.
I bet we can expect a extended bulging battery on the back of the Shadow2.
And even to this day, the UMA feature drops calls. :/ My friend has a new Tmobile router, stands only 15 feet away from router while on call, and the call drops on a fully charged mobile.
I seen posts of hacks to enable the hidden UMA on the Shadow1, though I haven't tried it.
