Nokia's $560 N78 now available in US
You've piddled around in our unboxing shots and replayed that hands-on video countless times. Now, the time has finally come to bust open the piggy bank and secure your very own Nokia N78. Dramatics aside, the HSDPA-packin' handset that also musters a 3.2-megapixel camera and A-GPS can now be purchased at Nokia flagship stores in Chicago and New York, numerous online retailers and the occasional mom 'n pop shop for around $560. So, who's getting one?

"Who's gettin' one?"
Certainly not me! That has got to be the ugliest (and probably least user-friendly) keyboard layout i've seen...

Since the Siemens SX1 anyway...

I have had one for just under one week now, $480 via Google shop. Features are solid and the keypad with odd ipod-esque multi-key takes some getting used to, but functions well after a bit. I do have some concerns that some others might know more about: daily dirt and such getting inside the phone via the corner between the outside function keys and the grey frame, second, could use some clarity on A-GPS - I live in Colorado, do the standard mountain things and wanted GPS and the location recording to function. In the city everything works like a charm and would recommend to others.

If this thing had AWS flavor of 3G I would be now in full sprint towards the Nokia store here in NYC instead of typing this bitter comment.
No AWS = No Sale.
Can you hear me now Nokia?

I unboxed my Nokia N95 as a passenger in a car hurtling down a southern california freeway. Ran thru the settings wizard at 80 MPH on the Foothill Freeway. Was into the AT&T 3G cloud by the time I was sailing thru Pasadena.
Admittedly - Nokia phones might not make everyone happy - but I sure am enjoying mine. And today's news about Symbian going open source is awesome.
