OMG - what absolutely amazing news! My life will never be the same again. One day, when I'm 80, I'll be telling my grandkids how I read it here first - the iPhone 3G will be on sale at 8am. Wow. You have the scoop of the century, Engadget! * rolls eyes *

If this was posted on your usual knitting forum, then yes, it would be a tad unusual. However it is related to gadgets and considering many people will be lining up for one on the 11th, it's good to know at what time the phone is being released. You'd be bitching if on the 12th, engadget said "oh, didn't we tell you it was going to be released at a different time than last year.
