If you're going cross-eyed looking at the front of T-Mobile's new
t229 flip from Samsung, you're not the only one -- we seriously thought it was some weird mistake in the press materials before we realized that Samsung was just trying to mix things up a bit by skewing the secondary display off to the side. We're not so sure how we feel about that, but with a VGA camera, 160 x 128 screen, and an utter lack of WiFi or 3G to keep us interested, odds are we'll never have to worry about it too much. The bright red flip can be yours now for a song -- $29.99 with contract, to be exact -- just remember not to stare directly at it.

i love t-mobile, but seriously.. come on..... t-mobile us is like the ugly step child that gets ignored. t-mobile has way better phones for all their european divisions, what's up with the us????

Embarrassing. The people at T-Mobile and Samsung that signed off on this phone "design" should be fired. Something like this is never a good idea. A good idea is designing a phone that doesn't look like this.
T-mobile has been associating their brand with phones like this for far too long. What does this phone say about T-Mobile other than: "We get all the reject designs that no other carrier wants."
