Treo 700wx to get Windows Mobile 6.0 upgrade?
According to some slides unearthed over at TreoCentral, it looks like the Verizon Treo 700wx could be an unlikely candidate due for the Windows Mobile 6.0 (not 6.1) treatment. Usually carriers like Verizon won't bother upgrading devices as old as these with newer versions of their mobile OS -- partly to induce future handset purchases -- so we'll have to remain a touch skeptical until such time as the upgrade really does launch.

Hmm this gets an upgrade but no Rev A/GPS upgrade for the xv6800/xv6900...?
I have to wonder...

Oooo - wonder if it will port to Alltel since the V is buying 'em? I've liked my 700wx thankyouverymuch.
Too bad it is not 6.1 but anything is better than 5.

Nice timing, Palm! Just in time to set up those already drooling over the 800/850 facelift they conveniently leaked, yet still keeping your loyal 700wx users still far behind the curve enough so as to never keep up. For gods sake, would someone _please_ call the time of death ?? ... especially since rigor mortis has already set in! Where would you like your organs and bone marrow donated, Palm?

Wait... no Wm6.1?
The Picture says Office 2007 compatability, isn't that only available with the WM6.1 update?

I think it's 6.1 From what I know, the IT security and policies is only available on 6.1, so I think something is up here.
