An extra $10 a month over 24 months is a $240 addition, which is probably the same as the subsidy being paid to Apple.

Apple benefits tremendously. They are able to sell the iphone 3G to AT&T at $450 or $500 before the subsidy kicks in. In reality the iphone should be going down in price -- no real change in hardware except a $10 3G radio and a $5 GPS chip. With the volume,. flash prices, and what not, Apple is going to make a bundle on the SALE of iphones.

And all this is being done to prevent unlocked phone sales. You can't go into an apple store and pick up 10 to ship overseas anymore.

BKWatch

Comments on Apple's lucrative iPhone revenue sharing goes away, replaced with "traditional" model

http://img409.imageshack.us/my.php?image=attiphone3gsv1.jpg

Willie T.
